This was beautiful - I was really surprised, in DH, that Snape had actually loved that much. I had always pictured him as someone completley unable to love.

I really like getting into Snape's head because his private life, until the last book, was just such a blank repressed sort of slate. Although I didn't expect it in the last book, I really liked the idea of him squirrelling up his treasured memories inside and barely anyone else having an inkling.
