04:44 pm - 12 Days of Christmas Challenge: 8 A while ago my good friend lycoris issued a challenge where participants wrote different things for each of the twelve days of Christmas. I was reluctant at first because I knew I wouldn't fulfill them all but, flushed with success regarding my Spring-Heeled Jack challenge, I had a bash and managed about four responses.
So today's challenge was ... eight silly gifts
Today's offering from me is rather feeble I'm afraid. Two tiny snippets mostly because A. As much as I love comedy I'm crap at writing it and B. My mind drew a blank for a good deal of my favourite fandoms and characters (how could there be a 'silly' gift for Jack Sparrow, he's daft as a brush himself and despite plenty of victorian silly gift suggestions courtesy of my mother's historical knowledge I simply couldn't write Holmes or Watson buying or recieving because despite the incident with Jeremy Brett's Holmes and the toy vampire fangs in the books they seem so...serious...I just couldn't seem to keep them IC.)
Title:Saucy Author:Lord Localfreak Fandom:Harry Potter Ship:RW/SF Summary:Ron recieves a strangely saucy gift Ron looked at the teddy bear. The teddy, from her awkward angle, looked back at him. He checked the label on the wrapping. Nope. Definitely for him. The teddy bear was brown, with a brown and green dress and a green bow. She looked over her shoulder, rear end sticking out to reveal…
A brown thong under the dress.
He squeezed a paw. A squeaky, somewhat cockney, voice emanated:
“Ooh tell me. Does my bum look big in this?”
There was no sender. He felt himself turn bright red as he looked frantically at the faces of the others. No one was supposed to know about the thong-incident! No one but- Seamus caught his eye. Winked. Ohhh
Ron furtively hid the teddy under a pile of wrapping and smiled.
Title:New Year's Resolutions Author:Lord Localfreak Fandom:Harry Potter Ship: none Summary:The Order do like their little joke. Poor Dung.
It looked like a bottle. It was in those specially-made Christmas bags for bottles. Mundungus opened the bag easily.
A scroll fell out of the top.
Dear Dung, heard you were cutting down! From Santa.
Inside the bag, under layers of wrapping lay a miniature bottle of wine. One that stubbornly would not succumb to an enlarging charm.
“Ha. Ha. Very funny.” He grumbled to himself half-heartedly.
Author's notes: Number one might suprise people as I'm not generally a Ron-slasher though have grown fonder of unrequited-Ron (either a bloke fancying him or him fancying a bloke) but I have read an amusing one or two that have him as a drag queen. I find them quite hilarious given my imagined version of Ron but nontheless....I wrote this after reading an interesting Ron-realises-he-is-gay ficlet and am quite fond of it.
The teddy bear exists in real life.
Number two, hell you can tell I lack ideas, this is based on what I got my Uncle Peter this year. He drinks too much wine. He's never seen drunk but my Nanny does his recycling and there's always wine.
I will say I'm terribly terribly grateful for all the wonderful reviews I've gotten so far. You all rock. :) Current Mood: hungry

I like these. And am disturbed to discover the bear exists. It won't be one I'll get for my teddy loving Mother-in-law...
And if it's any consolation, one of my drinking session fics was based on real life, too. (Ron and the rough girls)
*sniggers* Thanks, glad you liked them! :)
ha! Love the first one. I just switched Seamus with Harry. ;)
lol. Yeah, Seamus was kind of 'easily switchable with slash pairing of your choice' :)
