Today was mostly quiet, to make up for the hectic flaiilings of yesterday and Tuesday (and Monday, Sunday and Last Friday, come to think of it). I made a trifle, and finally got 'round to writing a cover letter (basically explaining Why You Want To Give Me This Job) and posting the app. off and just generally trying to catch up on all the Life that seems to keep getting ahead of me.
Then we had phonecalls: Mr N's in hospital & ill and Old Mr Tobin has died, which is terribly awfully sad :(. I wonder how his wife is, poor thing. They have a big family though so hopefully she isn't as alone as some people are.
Anyway then I was checking Mum's email for her (on request, I hurry to add) and there was an email from our internet provider saying "just a note to say that you do know you've used up 7GB of your 10GB space for this month and if you overuse it we make you PAY FOREVER"). To which I went *urk* and pulled a shifty face. What's really annoying is they don't provide you with a way to check exactly how much you've used up. I know it's HUGELY UNLIKELY that I'm going to have gone over the 10GB mark but just in case I'm going to be creeping on tiptoes around the internet until Sunday. I'm trying to look on this paranoia as a positive thing, because I have lots of other things I could be doing that don't involve the internet (writing, reading actual books and so on) but still. It clutches at my heartstrings (oh noes, I won't be able to do quite as much crap as I usually do like reading fic/mucking about with fanvids etc)
