So, while all the newsy-bits of the world want to talk about the inauguration, the coverage of which started over an hour ago so it is probably going on as I trpe, I have something Shinier to babble about:
HOUSE!
I had a moment of techy-panic when I realised that I had failed to transfer my divX (and thus, my codec) from Old Computer to Shiny New Computer but thankfully I managed to find what I needed with only hyperventilation and mildly histerical laughter.

Oh, and I had a revalation about House last night as I was falling asleep. Everyone tried to put the old ducklings onto the new ducklings and failed because Thirteen is too hardfaced to be Cameron and Kutner too happy go lucky to be Chase. BUT WHAT IF Kutner is more like Cameron (before she got hard-faced), Taub is basically Chase although not pretty (he has the guilt, the guile and the snappishness) and Thirteen is Foreman (chip on shoulder at the world). Obviously it doesn't fit exactly. But somehow....I like it.
SQUEE. Now I just have to wait for Someone Else to see it with whom I can squee rather than shouting random things like "LOOK THEY'RE MISERABLE! ISN'T IT GREAT?" or "WILSON! I LIKE THE HAIR! I WANT IT!" at my poor bewildered mother.
Ah well. I made her trifle, she can't complain ;)
