Disclaimer: I don't own them.

Notes: This was, I think, the first fic I wrote for this year's challenge so forgive me if it is of dubious quality. The title is taken from the Darren Hayes song So Beautiful also contains purposeful intertextual references to Darren Hayes' Dublin Sky and Savage Garden's Promises
Current Mood: dizzy and blurred

11:48 am - The Epiphany
Despite, bizarelly, the Church's new fondness for shifting HDsofO (Holy Days of Obligation) to the nearest Sunday, which means we've technically already celebrated the Mass of the Epiphany today is, of course, The Real Day.

Our decorations gone, our crib emptied. King Herod will not find the baby lying in the manger in our house.

All the figurines have been well mummified for next year although I'm waiting for mum to put them in the box because it is a tight fit and I am not being responsible for breaking off the head of the baby Jesus or something. It was bad enough the time I accidentally beheaded Nanny's old Child of Prague *guilt*

Erm yes. I'm still riding the wave of squee about my SHINY NEW COMPUTER on its SHINY NEW DESK which I put up all myself and everything, although my head is really quite fuzzled at the moment because the hyacinths mum got from Uncle Peter have bloomed and this means the house is filled with scent which might be nice but makes me dizzy and stupid. Damn allergies. At least it wasn't lilies!!!

my amazon delivery of computer stuff arrived today, which is not only freaky (as I only got the dispatched notice yesterday) but bloody typical because the order I made around boxing day (which contains a birthday present for a friend) still has not arrived. *worries & grumbles*

anyway I'm going to have a drink, in the hopes it combats the dizziness and then carry on fiddling about on the computer (it has vista! and chess! I feel like I've just entered the 21st Century properly. lol)
